Today’s photo shoot
So I found a photographer that wanted to update his portfolio, and so today he shot me. I get copies of all of the pictures and in exchange, he gets to use them in his portfolio, and photoshop them or do whatever he wants with them. And that’s it! I was pretty excited because I’ve never done a photoshoot before. I wanted to get some updated pictures since I’m getting back into my music and stuff. Plus I may be a bit vain, I’ll admit it! ![]()
Anyways, we did it at this park in San Diego this morning and the weather was beautiful. So was the location! It’s a park I’ve never been to, and I guess people go there to hike, and to check out the scenery and nature and they also have historical things there, like an indian hut and stuff. There is a dam that’s made out of rocks or bricks, and a lot of the pictures were taken on that.
The water around the damn was pure green from the moss, so weird, I’ve never seen that before. It started to get pretty warm and muggy near the water toward the end, and my hair started to curl (I straiten it every day, it’s pretty wavy) so that sucked, but oh well. I’ve seen only eleven of the shots so far, and I think he took around 200. I cant wait to see all of them!
Doing the shoot was a lot harder thatn I thought it would be. It was hard for me because I’ve never done something like that before, so I was trying to think of different poses to do but couldn’t, and I kept asking the photographer what he thought I should do but he didn’t have many suggestions. He kind of just wanted me to be natural which was hard for me! I felt so geeky and dorky and awkward. I just hope he got the shots he was wanting to get for his portfolio. It was so cool that I got to do this though. I got some cool shots of me with my guitar for my music page (www.myspace.com/daynassongs) which is what I wanted, so I’m pretty happy.
I was pretty tired after though, the shoot took just over 2 hours. Worth it though!
