Happy Birthday to ME! Today is my 26th birthday. I love birthdays. I feel sorry for people who say that their birthday is just another day, and that they hate getting another year older. I just don’t understand it. Your birthday is all about YOU. It’s the one day a year where you are supposed to get everything that your little heart desires. It’s not about “getting old” - it’s about celebrating the fact that you have lived another year on this Earth, with your friends and/or family, and you are about to start a brand new year of life! Being born is a miracle and so is having a birthday.
I personally like to have a “birthday week” or “birthday weekend”. Since my birthday this year is on a Thursday, I start my birthday weekend today. That means I’ll be celebrating my birthday today, tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. I think that’s the best way to do it. Why not? People deserve to be celebrated and if you can, why not do it?
My husband is still out of town during the weekdays so tonight, I’m going to go have some beers with my dad, then go out to dinner with him. Won’t be out too late, we both have to work tomorrow! I do get to leave work early though
Then tomorrow my dad is going to take me to lunch at my favorite local Chinese restaurant. Satuday, me, my husband, my dad and my dad’s girlfriend are going to go to some Irish pub/restaurant for lunch and beers and then probably back to her house to celebrate some more. Sunday will be a resting day where I hope to sleep all day and do absolutely nothing. Then, the countdown til my next celebration begins Monday morning! At that point it’ll be 361 days to go LOL.
