Where to go to vote??

When my husband and I went to vote for the Primary elections in June (was it in June? I can’t even remember yesterday, let alone months ago), we were supposed to go to different polling stations, which makes no sense because we live at the same address and have lived there for two years, and before that we lived at the same address for two years, but WERE able to go to the same polling station to vote. Anyways, so last June we both ended up going to the polling station that I was assigned to, because it was closer to our home. We asked the volunteers there why on Earth we would be made to go to two different locations, and everyone thought it was the most insane thing they’d ever heard. We had my husband re-register to vote there, and he had to fill out all this paperwork and had to fill out a different ballot-but we thought it was taken care of. Come the current Presidential election, we got our voting booklets in the mail, and wouldn’t you know it - we are supposed to go to two different polling stations AGAIN! Seriously, I thought they were supposed to divide it up by address. I mean what the heck, is the line in the middle of our bed or something? Everyone on the right side of the bed go to one location, everyone on the left side of the bed go to the other location. It just makes no sense! We are going to go back to my location again this time and try to rectify the situation, AGAIN. We’ll see what happens. I wish I could talk to the person in charge of determining which district goes to which location so that I could ask them WHY? Why do two married people that live together at the same address have to go to two completely different locations to vote!

How long did it take you to vote? We all vote by absentee ballot in this county in Washington, so I just dropped off my husband and my ballots.

I can see from an early blog of yours that you were supporting McCain. Too bad you live in a typically blue state. I’ve been outvoted in several red states, but this time I was actually in a blue one. I don’t think I’ve EVER voted in a blue one before.

Sorry I don’t check out your blog more often! I’ll try harder to get to it!
