Tornados in SoCal?
I get extreme weather updates via email from MSN, everytime there is an extreme weather watch or warning. Usually it’s a warning for fog, flash floods, or fires. Today, for the first time since I’ve lived in Southern California, I got a Tornado Warning! I grew up in Colorado where Tornados warnings are the norm, especially in the summer. I have lived in Southern California for ten years, and have never heard of a Tornado warning here though, until today. What’s up with Southern California weather? Fires every year, earthquakes, major fog, tsunamis, rain, snow, flooding, landslides, high wind, extreme heat, and now tornados!?
They say that Southern California is the best place to live in the world - San Diego county in particular, which is where I live. I do have to disagree. I can not stand to live here anymore, and can’t wait until my husband lets us move back to Colorado. I will take snow, hail and tornado warnings any day over fires and earthquakes. Southern California has every weather condition you can imagine. It’s like you took every weather condition from every city in the United States and put it all together, and that’s what we have. It’s only been in recent years too, but still, it’s horrible! It’s expensive to live here and it’s overcrowded and now we have to deal with all of this extreme weather. Why would anyone CHOOSE to live here?
